1st Grade Reading Lab
As students transition from learning to read to reading to learn, our First Grade Reading Lab provides the extra support and enrichment needed to build strong, confident readers. Through engaging books, interactive literacy games, small-group instruction, and hands-on activities, students strengthen essential reading skills while developing a lifelong love of books.
This class focuses on improving reading fluency, mastering phonics skills including CVC words, blends, digraphs, long vowels, and other advanced spelling patterns, expanding vocabulary, and building deeper reading comprehension. Students will also explore story elements, learn to think critically about what they read, and respond to texts through meaningful writing activities that reinforce comprehension and communication.
Class taught by Certified Teacher, 6:1 ratio

Fall Session*: September 14-December 18, 2026
Tuesdays, 3:45-5:00pm
12 weeks @ 1.25 hour session = $500
Split Payment Option: $300 due at registration; remaining $200 due October 1st
*No classes on Election Day (11/3), and Thanksgiving Week (11/23-11/27)
1st Grade Math Explorers
Our First Grade Math Lab is designed for students who are ready to go beyond the traditional classroom curriculum and deepen their mathematical understanding. This is a true enrichment class—not homework help. Through hands-on activities, math games, STEM challenges, and collaborative problem-solving, students will strengthen foundational skills while developing confidence, critical thinking, and a love for mathematics.
Students will build strong mental math strategies, expand their understanding of place value to 1,000, and develop efficient addition and subtraction strategies. They will be introduced to early multiplication concepts through arrays, equal groups, and repeated addition while exploring real-world applications involving money, time, and graphing. The class also emphasizes logic challenges and multi-step word problems, encouraging students to think flexibly, persevere through challenges, and explain their mathematical reasoning.
