Rising Readers and Writers Academy
Our Rising Readers & Writers Academy is designed for Kindergarten and 1st grade students who are ready to strengthen their reading and writing skills in a fun, engaging summer setting. Through small-group instruction, hands-on literacy activities, and creative writing projects, students build confidence in phonics, fluency, comprehension, and written expression. Our phonics instruction focuses on strengthening letter-sound relationships, blending and segmenting sounds, decoding words, and applying phonics skills to real reading and writing experiences, helping students become more confident, independent readers and writers while collaborating with peers and developing a genuine love of literacy.

1st Grade Reading/Writing
The goal of this program is to help students develop skills needed to become better readers. Level Up Academy does not take a one-size-fits-all approach, we create lessons based on each child’s needs. The curriculum will include reading books, writing stories, learning spelling patterns and of course, playing educational games.
During each class the students with be given the opportunity to strengthen their reading skills. Phonemic awareness, encoding, decoding and reading comprehension will be incorporated into each lesson. Building confidence in our readers is a priority.

Mondays, 9:00am-11:00am

Cost: $400 (6 weeks)
Lunch Bunch Add-on: $75 (stay until 11:30am with your lunch)
1st Grade Math
These classes are designed to help your child master the math skills appropriate for their grade level. The first week of class will consist of a review of the previous year’s standards and then dive into the upcoming year’s concepts. This class is individualized and tailored to fit each child’s needs. Hands on learning and playing games are essential!

1st Grade Bootcamps
These highly popular classes review skills your child learned this past school year. We will also introduce a variety of new concepts they will encounter at the beginning of the school year. We use the state standards and nearby school districts’ pacing guides to plan the curriculum that is taught in class.

Hands-on Handwriting (1st-3rd)
Join us for an engaging hands-on handwriting class designed specifically for first through third graders! In this fun and interactive environment, young learners will develop their handwriting skills through creative activities and games. Our experienced instructors will guide students in mastering letter formation, spacing, and overall penmanship, helping them build confidence in their writing abilities. With a focus on both print and cursive styles, this class is perfect for children who want to express themselves clearly and beautifully on paper. Let’s make writing an enjoyable adventure together!
